Increase Productivity
I will guide you through techniques that enhance time management, reduce procrastination, and improve productivity, allowing you to accomplish your goals more easily.

Strengthen Relationships
ADHD can impact communication and relationships. I offer support to help you build stronger interpersonal skills, creating healthier and more meaningful connections with others.
Personalised ADHD support
Individual therapy for adults with ADHD:
Whether you have a diagnosis of ADHD or suspect you may have it, I offer therapy sessions designed to help you overcome challenges such as difficulty concentrating, managing impulsivity, and improving emotional regulation. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness-Based Strategies to help you develop healthier thought patterns and behaviours that can improve your daily life.

Coaching for life skills:
ADHD often affects your ability to stay organised and manage tasks effectively. I offer coaching to help you develop practical skills such as time management, organisation, and goal setting. These sessions are designed to fit into your lifestyle, helping you create strategies that work for you.

Support for co-occurring conditions:
Many adults with ADHD also experience issues such as anxiety, depression, or stress. My approach addresses these co-occurring conditions, ensuring a holistic treatment plan that supports your overall mental health and wellbeing.

Comprehensive ADHD assessments for adults:
At The PsychologySmith, the assessment process for ADHD is tailored to each individual's needs, adhering closely to the guidelines set forth by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), aligning with the standards upheld by the NHS.

The assessment process takes place in-person and is designed to gather holistic information and provide detailed insights into each individual's unique needs and strengths.

  • The pre-assessment screening session is 50-mins and ensures that we gather enough information to determine if a full ADHD assessment is warranted. This also helps you understand what to expect from the full diagnostic process and allows us to tailor the assessment to your specific needs.
  • The assessment session, which usually takes up to 3 hours, involves a structured clinical interview, questionnaires, and standardised rating scales, all designed to help you understand whether ADHD is contributing to the difficulties you're facing. A clear diagnosis can lead to an effective plan to manage your symptoms.
Please see the What to expect section for detailed information on the ADHD assessment process.

Please note that I provide psychological assessments and formal diagnoses only, and I am unable to prescribe medication. Should we diagnose ADHD, and you would like to explore ADHD medication via private services as part of your treatment, I have established connections with private prescribers who can assist with this, and I can refer/signpost you to them following a diagnosis. Please be aware that the services provided by these prescribers are entirely separate and independent of my service and practice, and involve additional fees. Ultimately, the decision to consider medication is yours to make, and you will need to pursue and explore this independently.

Disclaimer:
Before booking an ADHD assessment, it is the client's responsibility to verify with their GP whether the private assessment report will be accepted for shared care purposes. The PsychologySmith cannot guarantee that any healthcare provider, including your GP or NHS ADHD Support Services, will recognise or accept the report. We strongly encourage clients to discuss this matter with their GP or primary healthcare provider to ensure continuity of care.
Take the first step towards understanding and support
If you suspect that you or your loved one may have ADHD, don't hesitate to reach out for professional support.
I am here to provide compassionate and evidence-based services to help you gain clarity, access appropriate interventions, and thrive.

At The PsychologySmith, I believe in the transformative power of coaching to unlock your full potential and achieve your goals.

But what exactly is coaching?
Coaching is a collaborative and forward-focused process designed to help you bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. Unlike therapy, which often focuses on resolving past issues, coaching is action-oriented and future-focused, empowering you to take meaningful steps towards your desired outcomes.
As your coach, I serve as your collaborator, ally, and guide on your journey of personal and professional growth. Through engaging discussions, insightful inquiry, and collaborative goal-setting activities, we'll work together to uncover your unique strengths, core values, and aspirations, crafting a roadmap to help you achieve your goals and unlock your full potential.
Whether you're looking to advance in your career, improve your relationships, enhance your wellbeing, or pursue a passion project, coaching can provide you with the clarity, accountability, and support you need to turn your dreams into reality.
I have a special interest in chronic pain, ADHD, trauma and work-related stress, and I'm committed to helping you unlock your inner potential, overcome obstacles, and thrive in all areas of your life.
Explore the website to learn more about the services offered, read testimonials from past clients, and discover how coaching can empower you to live a life of purpose, fulfilment, and success.
Thank you for considering The PsychologySmith as your partner in achieving your goals and creating a life you love.
